General Manager – Luxury Boutique Accommodation

About the role

The Vantage, a restored heritage property in South Australia, is preparing to launch a unique luxury accommodation experience. We are seeking a hands‑on General Manager to lead the property through its testing, opening, and ongoing operations, shaping the guest experience from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Full operational oversight of The Vantage, ensuring brand standards are met.
• Manage guest communications, bookings, and OTA platform integration.
• Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance contractors.
• Maintain property presentation, readiness, and quality standards.
• Resolve guest issues and troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Oversee stock, consumables, and supplier relationships.
• Organise and coordinate curated guest experiences.
• Provide weekly operational reports to the founders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in premium hospitality, boutique hotels, or luxury tourism.
• Strong operational leadership with a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication, organisational abilities, and high emotional intelligence.
• Confidence managing external contractors and stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented and able to maintain discretion.
