Team Leader – Family and Youth Support

About the role

The Department of Children and Families is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the delivery of statutory and non‑statutory welfare services for families and youth. This role involves guiding a dedicated team to ensure services meet legislative requirements and departmental policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team delivering statutory and non‑statutory welfare services.
• Ensure services are provided in line with relevant legislation and departmental policies.
• Oversee case management for individuals, groups and communities.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching and development.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve service outcomes.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in family, child or youth welfare services.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of statutory obligations and program policies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Remuneration package between $134,618 and $150,549 per annum (including salary $114,199‑$127,898).
