System Administrator – P8A Poseidon Team

About the role

Join Boeing's P8A Poseidon team at RAAF Base Edinburgh and play a vital part in keeping one of the world’s most advanced maritime patrol aircraft programs mission‑ready. As a System Administrator you will manage a diverse IT environment supporting both civilian and defence users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain servers, network devices and other IT infrastructure components.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure optimal operation.
• Apply patches, perform system hardening and manage security updates.
• Administer user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Document system configurations and changes, and assist in designing new solutions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols including Cisco equipment, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Australian citizenship to meet Defence security requirements.
