S&S Banking Consultant – Customer Service & Sales

About the role

The S&S Banking Consultant role supports customers through face‑to‑face interactions and inbound/outbound calls, handling everyday banking enquiries, account openings and related processes. This permanent part‑time position (30 hours per week) is based at Suncorp Bank’s Stones Corner branch.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer‑obsessed service, handling face‑to‑face and phone interactions for everyday banking enquiries.
• Provide accurate information on account openings and banking processes via telephone or online channels.
• Listen actively, build trust and ask the right questions to exceed customer expectations and achieve strong NPS results.
• Maintain a balanced team culture focused on people, customers, risk and performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, privacy legislation, FSRA requirements and underwriting guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus, preferably with retail experience.
• Comfortable using digital channels and technology to serve customers.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Team‑oriented mindset and good interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of compliance requirements in a banking environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with banking software and digital service platforms.
