Software Engineer – Backend (FinTech)

About the role

Tiimely is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable backend services for its AI‑driven financial assessment platform. The role sits within a regulated fintech environment, supporting real credit applications and collaborating closely with front‑end engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using established architectural patterns.
• Deliver end‑to‑end features ensuring performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Write clean, secure code and achieve comprehensive unit, integration and API contract test coverage.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers to define testing strategies and quality gates.
• Work with Front End Engineers to create usable and clear API contracts.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability risks and technical issues.
• Own CI/CD pipelines for safe, repeatable deployments.
• Implement secure coding standards and comply with financial services regulations.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation and Agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend software development within modern product engineering environments.
• Understanding of regulated financial services contexts and lending workflows.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality software.
