Site Supervisor – Construction (Melbourne)

About the role

Built Environs is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join its Victorian construction team in Melbourne. You will act as a key liaison between the Project Manager, subcontractors, and on‑site personnel, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the site logistics plan, covering amenities, housing, traffic management, cranage, hoisting, security, and waste management.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure work aligns with the scope, programme, specifications, drawings, and QA check sheets.
• Obtain and review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) from subcontractors before work commences.
• Conduct regular inspections of subcontractor work and coordinate storage of goods and materials.
• Maintain comprehensive understanding of all drawings, specifications, and specialist trade shop drawings.
• Work with the Project Coordinator to implement and monitor the QA plan throughout the project.
• Promote safety and environmental awareness among all personnel on site.

Required profile

• Trade background with proven construction experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to represent the Built Environs brand.
• Ability to maintain focus and performance under high demand and pressure.
• Commitment to continuous learning in WHS, industrial relations, QA, and environmental matters.
