Senior Teacher – General Mathematics & English

About the role

TAFE Queensland is seeking experienced Senior Teachers to deliver the QCAA Senior Curriculum for Years 11 & 12 in General Mathematics and/or General English. The role is temporary, part‑time (0.57 FTE) and will run until 11 December 2026, primarily based at the Alexandra Hills campus.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and engage students in General Mathematics and/or General English using contemporary, student‑centred methodologies.
• Develop, implement and moderate assessment tools in line with Queensland College of Teaching standards.
• Utilise flexible, blended and inclusive learning techniques across classroom, simulated, workplace and online environments.
• Foster a safety‑first culture and ensure students follow safety and sustainability procedures.
• Collaborate with students, industry partners and staff through meetings, events and feedback loops.
• Contribute to the design, delivery and continuous improvement of educational programmes.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progression and performance.
