Senior Project Architect – Construction Management

About the role

StudioBHI is seeking a Senior Project Architect with a strong focus on construction management to lead projects through the construction phase. The role involves close collaboration with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver technically robust documentation and ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the construction phase of multiple projects, coordinating with all stakeholders.
• Produce detailed construction documentation and 3‑D models using ArchiCAD.
• Write and coordinate specifications and ensure compliance with Australian Standards, NCC and BCA.
• Review and amend construction drawings, administer contracts and oversee quality assurance.
• Control project costs and risks, and manage project close‑out procedures.

Required profile

• Registered Architect or highly experienced graduate architect.
• Minimum 7 years of industry experience, including design and construction documentation.
• Proactive work ethic with ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a small, collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD (including 3‑D modelling).
• Strong construction detailing and documentation expertise.
• Experience in specification writing and coordination.
• In‑depth knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and BCA.
