Senior Mainframe CICS/MQ Administrator – Lead Consultant

About the role

Infosys is seeking a senior professional to design, deliver and optimise high‑performance enterprise mainframe solutions. The role focuses on CICS and IBM MQ administration, supporting large‑scale environments and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of mainframe CICS/MQ services in complex, large‑scale projects.
• Perform system upgrades, patches and configuration changes on z/OS platforms.
• Monitor and tune performance, reliability and availability of CICS and MQ workloads.
• Automate routine tasks and implement operational best practices.
• Collaborate with architecture and development teams to ensure seamless integration.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Mainframe CICS/MQ administrator.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS operating system and upgrade processes.
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery and mentor junior staff.
• Hands‑on experience with mainframe automation tools.
• Senior‑level expertise with a focus on operational excellence.
