Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Migration Law

About the role

The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor will provide academic leadership and specialist expertise for the Graduate Diploma in Migration Law within Thomas More Law School. This full‑time, continuing position supports teaching, curriculum design, accreditation compliance and student learning across our Brisbane, Melbourne or North Sydney campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and coordinate units within the migration law program.
• Lead curriculum renewal and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Oversee accreditation processes and maintain academic governance.
• Develop scholarly contributions and research initiatives in migration law.
• Foster external partnerships and professional networks to enhance program relevance.
• Provide strategic leadership for program growth and national competitiveness.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in teaching migration law at the postgraduate level.
• Demonstrated ability to lead academic programs and manage curriculum development.
• Strong record of research and scholarly publication in migration or related legal fields.
• Knowledge of accreditation requirements and professional regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
