Senior Electrical Engineer – Industrial EI&C

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Energy and Industrial team in Perth. You will work on detailed design, implementation and commissioning for mining, mineral processing, bulk materials handling, defence and water projects across Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, technically complex electrical and control system designs.
• Produce detailed LV design packages, including PowerCAD drawings, LV MCC layouts, protection and coordination studies.
• Develop schematic designs and technical documentation for large‑scale industrial assets.
• Apply relevant engineering legislation, standards and best practices throughout project delivery.
• Manage project planning, resource allocation and client relationship development.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of industry experience, preferably with CPEng accreditation or working towards it.
• Strong understanding of operational issues in Energy, Resources and Manufacturing sectors.
• Proven ability to communicate technical requirements and foster client relationships.

Required skills

• Low‑voltage (LV) design experience.
• Proficiency with PowerCAD.
• LV MCC design and protection & coordination studies.
• Schematic design development.
• Technical documentation preparation.
