Senior Director, Commercial

About the role

Braze is seeking a Senior Director, Commercial to lead its Scale Account Executive team for the Customer Journey Orchestration platform. This senior SaaS sales leadership position focuses on driving mid‑market and scale revenue growth while fostering a high‑performing, collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Scale Account Executives targeting mid‑market and scale customers.
• Own the full customer lifecycle, from net‑new acquisition to expansion and retention across multiple industries.
• Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales Operations to align strategies and drive revenue.
• Participate directly in customer‑facing engagements, presenting solutions and addressing complex business challenges.
• Recruit top talent, build a pipeline, and maintain a culture of accountability and autonomy.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years managing mid‑market/scale sales teams.
• Proven track record of recruiting, retaining, and developing high‑performing sales talent.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales Operations.
• Experience in a high‑growth, fast‑changing technology environment; startup experience is a plus.
