Senior Communications Specialist

About the role

Thiess is looking for a Senior Communications Specialist to shape the voice of a global leader in mining services. You will partner with executives, regional leaders and creative teams to deliver high‑impact communications that bring the company’s culture, priorities and brand to life across safety, sustainability, diversity and digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to design strategic communication plans aligned with global business priorities.
• Create compelling content such as thought‑leadership articles, executive presentations, video scripts and digital campaigns.
• Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messages for internal and external audiences.
• Refresh communication channels and collateral with creative concepts.
• Monitor, measure and refine communication activities using data and insights.
• Coordinate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure on‑brand execution.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs or internal communications.
• Proven ability to craft clear, purposeful content for diverse audiences and channels.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, from senior executives to frontline teams.
• Comfortable using video‑conferencing, collaboration platforms and emerging communication technologies.
• Excellent multitasking ability with a focus on quality and deadlines.
