Secondary Teacher – Various Subjects

About the role

Emmaus College is seeking qualified and enthusiastic secondary teachers to join its co‑educational Catholic community. The role begins in Term 3, 2026 (13 July 2026) or as negotiated, and involves delivering high‑quality, holistic education to senior students across a range of subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum in one or more of the following areas: Religious Education, HASS, Mathematics, Industrial Technology & Design, Japanese.
• Design differentiated learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Integrate Catholic values and mission throughout teaching practice.
• Use data and assessment results to inform instructional improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider community to support student wellbeing.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification and registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Commitment to serving the communities within the Diocese of Rockhampton.
• Strong knowledge of the assigned subject(s) and ability to foster a positive learning environment.

• Subject‑specific expertise in the teaching area(s) applied for.
• Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Capacity to incorporate Catholic values into curriculum.
