School Engagement Consultant (Temporary Full‑Time)

About the role

The School Engagement Consultant will drive the growth of TAFE Queensland’s “TAFE at School” programmes across the region. Working closely with the Marketing and Sales Manager, you will identify opportunities, build partnerships with secondary schools and other education providers, and convert leads into revenue‑generating projects. This is a temporary full‑time position (fixed‑term) based at any TQEC campus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional strategies to increase enrolments in TAFE at School programmes.
• Identify and nurture relationships with secondary schools, higher‑education institutions and industry partners.
• Manage the promotion, communication and nomination processes for all school‑based programmes, ensuring contractual milestones are met.
• Plan and deliver events such as the TAFE at Schools forum and school‑specific engagement activities.
• Stay informed on education reforms, emerging market trends and competitor activity.
• Negotiate and secure new business opportunities to meet revenue targets.
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams to align product knowledge with market needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in education partnership development or sales within the VET sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and networking abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines across multiple sites.
• Understanding of Queensland’s secondary education landscape and recent reforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
