Registered Nurse – Renal & Urology Ward

About the role

Join Westmead Hospital’s A6A Renal Urology Ward as a Registered Nurse and provide specialised, high‑quality care to patients with acute and chronic renal and urological conditions. You will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced acute environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred, evidence‑based nursing care to diverse patient populations.
• Assess, monitor and respond to changing patient conditions.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate, supervise and mentor ENs, AINs and nursing students within your scope of practice.
• Advocate for patients and families while managing resources effectively.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA as a NSW Registered Nurse – Division 1.
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Recent nursing experience in renal, urology or acute care settings.
• Commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence‑based practice.
• Strong clinical communication skills, both written and verbal.
