Registered Nurse – Hospital in the Home (Broken Hill)

About the role

The Hospital in the Home Registered Nurse will provide community‑based nursing care for patients in the Broken Hill region. You will work across the Broken Hill Community and Health Service, delivering safe, high‑quality care while completing the HETI Rural Generalist Nurse Program within six months.

Key responsibilities

• Document patient care plans, progress reports and referrals in line with clinical standards.
• Systematically assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care based on patient records.
• Provide direct nursing care in patients' homes and community settings according to service demand.
• Enroll in and complete the HETI Rural Generalist Nurse Program during the first six months of employment.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Nurse in Australia.
• Willingness to work in a rural and remote environment.
• Ability to meet the conditions of the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
• Flexibility to work full‑time or part‑time as required.
