Registered Nurse – Full‑time Rotational Shifts

About the role

King Island Hospital and Health Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team. You will deliver high‑quality nursing care across acute, chronic, community and emergency services while working in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, clinically appropriate nursing care to patients and their families.
• Deliver care in the Emergency Department, acute care units and, where needed, aged‑care settings.
• Coordinate and delegate tasks to Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Patient Care Assistants (PCA).
• Collaborate with other health professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated clinical experience in an Emergency Department and Acute Care.
• Aged‑care experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Capability to provide direction and delegation to EN and PCA staff.

• Permanent full‑time position (up to 76 hours per fortnight) with rotational shifts.
• Salary range $80,524 – $109,175 AUD per year plus 12% superannuation.
• Post‑graduate allowance up to 10% of base salary.
