Registered Nurse – Bunbury Donor Centre (Full‑time / Fixed‑term)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Bunbury Donor Centre, delivering safe and compassionate blood, plasma and platelet collections. The position is available as a permanent full‑time role and as a one‑year fixed‑term contract, working a 76‑hour fortnightly roster from Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility.
• Provide clinical oversight and guide team members during the collection process.
• Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
• Set up and operate collection machines and equipment.
• Insert and remove needles safely for whole blood, plasma and platelet donations.
• Manage adverse donor reactions and provide post‑donation care.
• Assist donors with re‑booking appointments.

Required profile

• Completed Bachelor of Nursing.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Ability to lift 9–22.7 kg and stand, walk and bend for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work varied early‑morning and afternoon shifts on a rotating roster.
• Strong customer‑facing skills and passion for donor experience.
