Project & Site Engineer – Civil Infrastructure & FRP Projects

About the role

Yakama is seeking multiple Project Engineers and Site Engineers to deliver civil infrastructure and FRP (formwork, reinforcement and concrete) projects across large‑scale construction environments. The positions combine on‑site coordination with office‑based planning to ensure high‑quality outcomes for transport and heavy‑industry sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of FRP and civil infrastructure construction activities.
• Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, concrete pours and site logistics.
• Assist with project planning, schedules, cost tracking and daily site activities.
• Prepare or support QA documentation, work packs, permits, reports and project records.
• Attend site meetings and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications and construction documentation to enable efficient delivery.
• Support resource planning, procurement activities and on‑site problem solving.
• Assist with concrete volume calculations, site reporting and construction coordination.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Exposure to FRP construction activities (formwork, reinforcement, concrete) is highly regarded.
• Experience in civil infrastructure, transport, rail, roads, bridges, utilities, mining, defence, oil & gas or heavy‑industry environments is beneficial.
