Procurement Specialist – Brisbane

About the role

An experienced Procurement Specialist is needed to support multiple mining operations across Queensland and New South Wales. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will manage end‑to‑end procurement for labour (trades) and services, driving strategic sourcing and delivering commercial value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies through spend and market analysis.
• Lead tendering, negotiations and contract implementation.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor contract performance.
• Partner with operational stakeholders across the business.
• Deliver cost‑saving initiatives and continuous improvement outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong procurement and contract negotiation experience.
• Exposure to mining, resources or heavy industry (highly regarded).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and commercial capability.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications; CIPS certification is highly desirable.
