About the role
Aurecon is seeking a Principal Drainage Engineer to lead the design and delivery of drainage and waterways projects across Western Australia. You will work within a multidisciplinary global team, shaping innovative solutions for complex infrastructure challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, mentor and coach junior team members.
- Lead drainage projects from concept through construction completion.
- Produce hydraulic designs and hydrological assessments for a variety of projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and local authorities.
- Prepare engineering designs, specifications, calculations and reports.
- Collaborate with multi‑discipline teams to deliver high‑value outcomes for public and private sector clients.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in drainage and/or waterways design and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards and WA regulations (preferred but not mandatory).
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders.
- Passion for continuous learning and re‑imagining engineering problems.
