About the role

Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, the People & Culture Coordinator will support all facets of the HR function for Accor’s multi‑brand precinct at Sydney Olympic Park. The role is primarily administrative but also involves regular interaction with hotel teams to ensure Heartists are supported and engaged.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist throughout the recruitment cycle, from posting vacancies on Smart Recruiters to tracking candidates and collaborating with heads of department to fill positions.
  • Prepare contracts, onboarding packs and welcome kits, and maintain up‑to‑date employee records.
  • Communicate payroll updates, process terminations and respond to pay‑related queries.
  • Manage the People & Culture inbox, field employee questions and provide professional support.
  • Track training progress, probation reviews and coordinate recognition calendars for awards, birthdays, anniversaries and other milestones.
  • Support HR reporting, audits and invoice processing.
  • Keep internal communications, newsletters and noticeboards fresh, relevant and engaging.

Required profile

  • Enthusiasm, drive and energy with a proactive “make things happen” attitude.
  • Proven administrative, organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in a generalist HR role is preferred.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or progress towards completion is advantageous.
