PDI Technician – Heavy Equipment Assembly

About the role

Join Komatsu Australia as a PDI Technician and play a key part in preparing brand‑new heavy equipment for delivery. You will assemble, commission and test machines to ensure they meet OEM standards before they leave the factory.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and commission Komatsu machinery to OEM specifications.
• Fit customer‑specific components and upgrades.
• Perform functional testing and verify quality standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and cross‑functional teams to meet production deadlines.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Support and mentor apprentices on‑the‑job.

Required profile

• Mechanical or electrical trade qualification (automotive or heavy diesel) – essential.
• Proven experience working on earth‑moving or heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault‑finding ability.
• Commitment to safety and high‑quality workmanship.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
