Continuous Improvement Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead to embed structured CI across our high‑volume consumer products manufacturing site. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will own the improvement roadmap, lead root‑cause investigations and build capability for a culture of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a site‑wide continuous improvement roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma and other CI methodologies across manufacturing and support functions.
• Lead structured root‑cause analysis investigations into quality, safety and operational issues.
• Apply problem‑solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis and FMEA.
• Identify process inefficiencies and drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery and productivity.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops and cross‑functional improvement projects.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to track outcomes and ensure sustained corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain to embed CI principles.
• Train and coach employees in RCA, critical thinking and CI tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or a similar role.
• Proven background in FMCG, food, pharma or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated success leading RCA investigations and delivering sustained operational outcomes.
• Strong analytical capability combined with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Operations or a related field (preferred).

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction.
• Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly regarded).
• Root Cause Analysis techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis).
• Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Value Stream Mapping.
• KPI development and monitoring.
• Kaizen event facilitation.
• Understanding of quality systems, CAPA processes and GMP requirements.
