Mobile Developer (4-8 week contract)

About the role

XO Sports is seeking a Mobile Developer to join its early team on a 4‑8 week contract. You will help build and scale a cross‑platform mobile application that delivers AI‑powered sports insights to fans and bettors worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the React Native mobile app using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, marketing and backend teams to deliver high‑quality, performant user experiences.
• Integrate mobile features with backend services and cloud‑based workflows.
• Iterate quickly, ship small improvements, and balance speed with reliability.
• Write clear documentation, pull‑request descriptions and asynchronous updates.

Required profile

• High ownership mindset – acts like a founder and drives solutions to release.
• Comfortable working with ambiguous or incomplete requirements.
• Bias toward action, pragmatic engineering judgement, and ability to prioritize “good enough” solutions.
• Strong product awareness – focuses on user impact over code elegance.
• Excellent written communication and ability to align stakeholders asynchronously.
