Materials Coordinator (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Materials Coordinator on a six‑month contract to implement and manage the site materials system for a large water‑infrastructure project in Perth. The role covers ordering, tracking, receiving, storing and issuing materials in line with project and OEM requirements, while ensuring safe handling and OS&D reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Implement site materials management procedures and input material requirements into the Materials Management System.
• Coordinate scheduling and delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
• Oversee safe off‑loading of materials from trailers and containers, and receipt and storage in compliance with OEM standards.
• Develop and issue work packs, manage warehousing, and produce OS&D reports.
• Collaborate with Construction to review material availability for work‑pack development and issue materials to construction work fronts.
• Plan and forecast site plant and equipment requirements, including mobilisation and demobilisation dates.
• Liaise with plant hire companies and cost control on forecast of plant and equipment control accounts.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of experience in warehousing, lay‑down and materials management on multi‑discipline, complex projects.
• Proven ability to set up and operate site material storage yards and to use a materials management system.
• Experience working closely with construction teams to track, receive, store and issue materials and plant equipment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety standards for material off‑loading and storage facilities.
