Manager – Financial Statement Compilation Centre of Excellence

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Manager to lead its National Financial Statement Compilation Centre of Excellence. You will oversee the delivery of high‑quality financial reporting for large private, not‑for‑profit and government clients, while shaping best practices across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review the preparation of financial statements for large private, not‑for‑profit and government clients.
• Assist team members in resolving accounting and reporting issues during statement preparation.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients and audit teams on compilation engagements.
• Drive quality, consistency and efficiency across all financial reporting deliverables.
• Coach and develop Senior Associates and Associates within the Centre of Excellence.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, AI tool roll‑outs and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• A degree in Accounting or Finance and a CA qualification.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience in a professional services environment.
• Proven track record reviewing financial statements and resolving complex reporting issues.
• Confident stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with commercial outcomes.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for developing others.
