Senior Adviser – Business and Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG’s Business & Tax Advisory team is seeking a Senior Adviser to join its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) practice. You will work directly with a diverse portfolio of Australian and global clients, delivering payroll, bookkeeping and tax compliance services while building strong professional relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process periodic payroll calculations, including STP reporting, superannuation, payroll tax lodgements and WorkCover compliance.
• Conduct annual payroll reconciliations, PAYG payment summary preparation and payroll tax/WorkCover annual declarations.
• Manage full‑cycle bookkeeping: monthly transaction processing, accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce monthly management reports and prepare instalment and Business Activity Statements.
• Handle ad‑hoc back‑office requests as required by clients.

Required profile

• Generalist background with experience in payroll, bookkeeping and tax compliance.
• Client‑facing orientation with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high‑quality service.
• Comfort working in a multinational accounting environment and across multiple industries.
