Legal Counsel (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Reporting to an experienced General Counsel, you will join a collaborative in‑house legal team supporting a diverse range of commercial and strategic matters. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, providing advice on commercial contracts, privacy, intellectual property and general corporate issues.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Provide practical, risk‑based legal advice to business stakeholders.
• Support strategic projects and organisational initiatives.
• Manage legal risk while enabling commercial outcomes.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation as a trusted legal adviser.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong commercial contracting experience.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, commercially‑focused advice.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions‑oriented approach.
• In‑house or government experience is a plus.
