Junior Product Engineer

About the role

LegalVision is looking for a Junior Product Engineer to join its fast‑growing tech hub in Sydney. You will own the development, monitoring and maintenance of the core platforms that power the company’s legal services, including the practice‑management system, client portal, payment gateway, website and business‑analytics tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and ship features for the practice‑management platform, CRM and client‑facing applications.
• Maintain and optimise infrastructure on Linux/Unix, Apache/Nginx and Docker environments.
• Collaborate with product, legal and operations teams to resolve high‑impact technical issues.
• Participate in agile Scrum ceremonies and use Jira for sprint planning.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and AI‑driven development workflows.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar software development role.
• Based in Sydney with current Australian work rights.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
• Passion for building robust, scalable solutions.

Required skills

• Languages: PHP, JavaScript (TypeScript), HTML, CSS (Tailwind), SQL.
• Frameworks/Tools: Laravel, Eloquent, Vue.js, GraphQL, Git, GitHub.
• Infrastructure: Linux/Unix, Apache, Nginx, Docker, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB).
• CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, Agile/Scrum (Jira).
• AI‑driven development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini) and data visualisation (Tableau).
