Junior Intensive Care Registrar – Richmond

About the role

Epworth Richmond is seeking a Junior Intensive Care Registrar to join its 26‑bed ICU. This fixed‑term, full‑time position starts in February 2027 and provides exposure to a high‑volume adult medical/surgical ICU, including cardiac surgery, medical emergency team, and code‑blue services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy adult ICU environment.
• Participate in the medical emergency team and code‑blue responses.
• Engage in weekly protected teaching sessions to develop technical and non‑technical skills.
• Contribute to the unit’s research program, including data collection and analysis.
• Undertake echocardiography assessments and pursue higher qualifications where desired.

Required profile

• General registration with AHPRA or AMC‑accredited limited registration.
• At least three years of full‑time post‑graduation employment.
• Previous critical care experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team‑based environment.
