IT Support Officer – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

The IT Support Officer will join the IT Operations team at RSL Queensland, providing expert technical assistance to volunteers across the Sub‑Branch network. This 12‑month fixed‑term position is based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, with a hybrid work model that includes three days remote each week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver prompt, high‑quality technical support to volunteers and staff.
• Build and maintain positive relationships, ensuring users feel confident using IT resources.
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Promote continuous learning and improvement within the volunteer community.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with organisational policies.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education or relevant vocational training.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an IT Support Officer or similar role.
• Excellent customer‑facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and capable of independent work.
