Insolvency Accountant – Restructuring & Recovery

About the role
Vincents is seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Insolvency Accountant to join its Restructuring & Recovery team in Sydney. You will manage small to medium insolvency appointments, conduct solvency analyses, and prepare detailed client reports while supporting distressed businesses and individuals.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of insolvency appointments and report directly to directors and managers.
- Lead investigations, liaise with creditors, banks, and statutory authorities.
- Analyse financial statements, perform high‑level solvency analyses and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Prepare briefs and support commercial litigation processes.
- Collaborate with directors, managers, and business leaders on complex technical issues.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce with an Accounting major or equivalent.
- CA/CPA qualification (or in progress).
- Proven Australian experience in personal and corporate insolvency.
- Strong knowledge of the Corporations Act 2001, Bankruptcy Act 1966 and related insolvency legislation.
- High emotional intelligence, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency with computerised accounting systems such as INSOL, XERO and MYOB.
