About the role
We are seeking an experienced ICT Service Desk Officer to join a South Australian Government team in the Adelaide CBD. This day‑shift position offers the chance to deliver first‑line support in a fast‑moving ICT environment while gaining valuable government experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide proactive first‑line ICT support to government users.
- Log, investigate and resolve incidents, escalating when necessary.
- Document procedures and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records while handling confidential information with discretion.
- Collaborate with a supportive team to improve service practices.
Required profile
- Confident communicator with a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Quick learner who can adapt to new systems and processes.
- Strong problem‑solving skills through investigation, research and consultation.
Required skills
- Experience in an ICT service desk environment.
- Ability to manage priorities and maintain accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience handling confidential information.
