Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Generalist to manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle activities, ensure compliance with legislation, and support payroll and benefits administration across multiple sites. The role will partner with managers and global HR teams to drive continuous improvement of HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate onboarding, off‑boarding, performance appraisals and maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS.
• Ensure HR practices comply with regional employment legislation, modern awards and enterprise agreements.
• Coordinate payroll data, liaise with external payroll providers, and administer employee benefit programs.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims, return‑to‑work plans and superannuation, taxation and statutory reporting obligations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, dispute resolution and engagement initiatives.
• Support the implementation of global and regional HR projects, system improvements and prepare HR presentations and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience in end‑to‑end payroll coordination, including superannuation, taxation and statutory reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with WorkCover, return‑to‑work processes and WGEA reporting requirements.
• Strong knowledge of regional employment legislation and HR compliance.
