Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing NDIS and NIISQ provider in Bundaberg. The role offers the chance to support a diverse workforce, ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, performance management, investigations, grievances, and return‑to‑work processes.
• Provide timely HR advice on policies, procedures, legislation and workplace matters.
• Monitor legislative and industry changes to maintain organisational compliance.
• Develop and maintain contracts, position descriptions, policies and HR documentation.
• Manage employee relations, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions and investigations.
• Maintain accurate, confidential HR records and databases.
• Facilitate HR training, workshops and staff education initiatives.
• Support employee engagement, performance improvement and culture initiatives.
• Oversee a small team and assist with workforce planning, reporting and compliance audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Human Resources Coordinator, HR Advisor or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Australian employment legislation (Fair Work Act 2009, NES, relevant Modern Awards).
• Extensive experience in employee relations, performance management and workplace investigations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
