About the role
Discovery Parks is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to build trusted relationships with leaders, employees and colleagues. You will provide HR expertise, advice and coaching across all staff matters, supporting the company’s growth and high‑performance culture.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on employment terms, conditions and legislative obligations, guiding managers through performance‑management processes and ensuring compliance with HR policies.
- Support and influence managers on performance management, organisational change and employee‑relations issues, fostering a positive work environment and resolving conflicts.
- Identify, recommend and implement improvements to HR policies and processes to align with best practices and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with People & Culture departments to address business‑unit issues, contribute to employee‑engagement initiatives and support wellness, diversity and inclusion programs.
- Research, analyse and report on employment‑related data, offering insights to improve key employee metrics and reduce turnover.
- Facilitate training on people policies, award interpretation and related HR practices.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within tourism, hospitality or retail.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work, industrial relations and award interpretation.
- Effective coaching, relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to partner with business stakeholders to create high‑performing teams.
- Passion for data‑driven decision making and facilitating workshops on people policies.
- Interest in diversity and inclusion initiatives and proven ability to influence leaders.
