Human Resources Business Partner – Strategic Talent Leader (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner to provide strategic talent leadership for a multinational defence organisation. Working remotely with occasional travel to Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and help shape people strategies that drive transformation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with defence business leaders to design and deliver people strategies aligned with mission‑critical objectives.
• Lead transformational initiatives such as restructuring, workforce planning and succession in a highly regulated environment.
• Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence to implement compliant, global HR solutions.
• Use data insights to inform strategic workforce decisions and continuous improvement.
• Coach managers on performance management, employee relations and compliance within the defence context.
• Champion diversity, equity and inclusion and support internal mobility goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of HR experience; HR certification (PHR, SHRM, CIPD) preferred.
• Deep knowledge of compensation, organisational design, employee relations, performance management and Australian employment law; familiarity with NZ and Singapore laws a plus.
• Experience in the defence industry or multinational defence environment is highly desirable.
• Proven track record managing change programmes and employee relations in regulated settings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all organisational levels.
• Comfortable working remotely, willing to travel (~15%) and able to work across global teams.
