Human Resources Business Partner – Mining Site

About the role

MACA is looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join the Gruyere Gold Mine operation on a permanent FIFO 8:6 roster. You will act as the primary HR contact for site leaders and employees, providing proactive guidance across all HR functions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for HR enquiries from leaders and staff.
• Provide advice on employee relations, case management, performance and development matters.
• Support talent management, succession planning and workforce planning initiatives.
• Coach leaders to build HR capability and drive high‑performance outcomes.
• Coordinate employee life‑cycle processes such as objective setting, performance reviews and remuneration reviews.
• Prepare and analyse HR metrics and workforce reports, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with legislation and company requirements.
• Assist with grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations in a fair and consistent manner.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, workplace culture and organisational performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technically focused HR generalist role, preferably in mining, resources or heavy industry.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of the employment lifecycle, legislation, regulatory frameworks and employee demobilisation processes.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
