HR Operations Lead – Pacific

About the role

The HR Operations Lead – Pacific is responsible for driving operational excellence across the People & Culture function for the Pacific region. This role ensures high‑quality HR services, systems, processes and compliance, delivering a seamless employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end HR operations across the Pacific, overseeing onboarding, off‑boarding, contracts, policy updates, HR queries, employee changes, record management and HRIS workflows.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements to reduce manual handling and enhance employee experience while maintaining service‑level standards.
• Act as regional HRIS owner, ensuring data accuracy, system utilisation and adoption of enhancements; partner with global HRIS and IT teams on upgrades and new digital solutions.
• Provide data insights and HR reports to support workforce planning, decision‑making and compliance obligations.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island jurisdictions; maintain up‑to‑date policies in partnership with Legal and ER teams.
• Lead internal audits, risk assessments and reporting for HR operations; manage secure handling of employee documentation and sensitive data.
• Coordinate with Payroll to validate inputs, ensure timely processing of payroll changes and improve integration between HR and payroll data flows.
• Support exceptional employee experience by leading automation, self‑service and digital initiatives; assist regional engagement, compliance training and culture programs.
• Manage relationships with external HR service providers and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Finance, IT and Legal.
