Generation Technician – Perth

About the role

We are seeking a Generation Technician to join our Perth team on a long‑term, temp‑to‑perm basis. The role involves maintaining and servicing diesel generators used in mining operations, ensuring reliable power supply across our projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on high‑voltage (HV) and heavy‑duty (HD) diesel generators.
• Diagnose faults, conduct mechanical testing and execute corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule generator availability and support emergency response.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new generator sets as required.

Required profile

• Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• Proven experience in diesel generator maintenance and diesel engine repair.
• Valid WA driver’s licence (manual); HR licence preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously in a mining environment.
• Willingness to undergo regular D&A medical examinations.
