Fixed Plant Maintenance Inspector

About the role

We are seeking a Fixed Plant Maintenance Inspector to provide technical assistance, support and expert advice on plant condition, driving continuous improvement within the fixed plant mechanical team. This permanent position works on an 8‑day‑shift roster and is based onsite in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections using available tooling to identify defects early, raise notifications and minimise unplanned breakdowns.
• Review upcoming work scopes, inspect components planned for replacement and provide risk advice for component life‑extension.
• Escalate urgent defects and repair requirements to maintenance, execution and production teams to minimise downtime.
• Use operator feedback and face‑to‑face engagement to focus inspection areas and improve defect detection.
• Collaborate with planning and scheduling teams to prioritise work, optimise sequencing and ensure safe, efficient labour use.
• Act as the key link between planners, condition monitoring, maintenance and shutdown teams, influencing weekly schedules and shutdown scopes.
• Review post‑shutdown reports, raise follow‑up notifications and recommend reliability improvements to engineering.

Required profile

• Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
• Extensive knowledge of high‑pressure pumps, industrial drive gearboxes and crushers.
• Solid understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar.
• Excellent diagnostic fault‑finding abilities.
• Current Western Australia “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
• Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker trade qualification.
