Field Service Technician – Mechanical (Remote WA Power Stations)

About the role

Join Zenith Energy’s Maintenance team as a Field Service Technician – Mechanical, supporting remote power generation assets across Western Australia on a 14‑day on/14‑day off FIFO roster. You will ensure the reliability of hybrid and thermal power stations that keep critical mining and industrial operations running.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned mechanical maintenance and overhauls on power generation equipment and ancillary systems.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and perform repairs, including engine rebuilds.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in the CMMS.
• Supervise contractors and support personnel when required.
• Provide relief Power Station Operator support as needed.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to maximise equipment availability.

Required profile

• Mechanical trade qualification with at least 2 years post‑trade experience.
• Experience in engine rebuilds, diagnostics, fuel‑system and gas‑engine overhauls.
• Proven ability to work safely in remote, high‑risk environments.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• National Police Clearance and ability to pass a pre‑employment medical.
