Fashion Designer – Womenswear

About the role

Cotton On is seeking a creative and commercially‑driven Designer to join its Womenswear team. The role spans Cut & Sew, Wovens, Denim and Knitwear, allowing you to shape product that is relevant, inspiring and culturally connected.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop collections that align with the brand DNA, customer needs and commercial targets.
• Translate trend forecasts and buying direction into wearable, on‑brand pieces across multiple categories.
• Own the design journey from concept through to sample, ensuring accuracy, quality and fit.
• Create CAD drawings, tech packs and design specifications to communicate your vision.
• Collaborate closely with Buying, Trend and Production teams to align ranges and meet delivery timelines.
• Use performance data and feedback to continuously refine and improve product offerings.

Required profile

• Qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Designer with a strong eye for trend‑led, customer‑focused product.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, materials and development processes.
• High attention to detail throughout design and development stages.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to assess product impact on performance.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• Adobe Illustrator for creating CAD drawings and design specs.
