External Audit Senior – North Sydney

About the role

Forvis Mazars is seeking an External Audit Senior to join its North Sydney audit and assurance team. You will lead audit engagements, mentor junior staff, and contribute to technical research and business development across a variety of client sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and completion of audit engagements with oversight from partners and senior management.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to Boards of Directors and governance bodies.
• Mentor and coach graduates, intermediates and junior senior staff.
• Conduct technical research, support financial report preparation and group reporting.
• Assist with ad‑hoc assurance work and business development activities.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of external audit experience in Australia, preferably within financial services.
• Completed CA or CPA qualification (or near completion, with support provided).
• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent accounting degree.
• Full right to work in Australia.
• Proactive team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
