Expert Health Trainer

About the role

Connect ‘n’ Grow is looking for an Expert Health Trainer to deliver high‑quality vocational education to secondary school students across Southeast Queensland. You will teach Certificate II and Certificate III allied health subjects, mentor learners and travel to partner schools and designated training hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging training for Certificate II and III allied health and health‑related subjects.
• Support, mentor and inspire students throughout their learning journey.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and ensure successful course completion.
• Assist learners in building confidence, employability skills and pathways to further study or employment.
• Travel to partner schools and attend training HUB locations as required.
• Engage with industry partners, facilitate trainee visits and collaborative opportunities.
• Complete administrative and compliance tasks, including assessment marking and maintaining accurate training records in Canvas.
• Represent Connect ‘n’ Grow at career expos, school engagement activities and resource development initiatives.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Working with Children Check (Employee Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to obtain an Australian Federal Police check.
• Minimum three years’ experience delivering health‑related training or education.
• Strong passion for mentoring young people and promoting health careers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Canvas learning management system.
