Event Coordinator – 12‑month contract

About the role

Tourism Australia is seeking an Event Coordinator to join its Events team on a 12‑month full‑time contract. In this junior, 360‑degree support role you will work closely with Event Managers to ensure seamless delivery of national and international events that showcase Australia’s unique story.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update event participant databases, travel, accommodation and payment information.
• Build and manage registration websites and ensure data accuracy in the CRM.
• Provide timely, professional customer service to delegates and gather required industry documentation such as logos and insurance certificates.
• Coordinate logistics including freight, badges, procurement, signage, and on‑site registration support.
• Assist with food and beverage delivery and other on‑site event needs.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems for data management.
