Enterprise Security Manager

About the role

Canva is looking for an Enterprise Security Manager to lead the Internal Systems Security team. You will shape the security strategy for internal endpoints, networks, and SaaS applications, ensuring a balance between robust protection and a smooth user experience for all Canvanauts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of security engineers focused on threat modelling, security tool roll‑outs, and building internal security services.
• Own the internal security strategy, aligning security, compliance, and developer experience.
• Coach and develop engineers through regular feedback and performance planning.
• Define and maintain the team’s ways of work, including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with IT, Sales, Customer Support and other stakeholder groups to scale security improvements across the organisation.
• Champion adoption of security systems internally and communicate their benefits.

Required profile

• Proven ability to design access strategies that balance usability, security, and compliance.
• Experience managing and growing high‑performing security teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in threat modelling complex systems and delivering mitigation strategies.
• Track record of working with external stakeholder teams such as IT and Procurement to deliver secure SaaS solutions.
• Strong understanding of internal IT environments and endpoint security.
