About the role

Join the Emergency Department at South East Regional Hospital in Bega as a VMO/Staff Specialist. This senior position offers the chance to deliver high‑quality emergency care while contributing to the education of medical students and trainees across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive specialist emergency medical services to patients across multiple sites including Goulburn, Queanbeyan, Batemans Bay and others.
• Lead and support educational activities for junior doctors, medical students and rotating trainees.
• Collaborate with other specialists within the SNSWLHD to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary training and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA.
• Fellow of the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM).
• Extensive recent experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and scholarly activity.
